Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 16, 2026

SyncNode respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to every part of SyncNode — the website, dashboard, API, and the data you send through us to upstream providers.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account data — your email, account ID (used as your API key on the wire), authentication tokens, and any profile fields you provide.
  • Provider credentials — the API keys you save for upstream providers (Replicate, OpenAI, etc.). These are stored to make calls on your behalf and are never displayed back in full to anyone but you.
  • Usage data — records of API calls made, their cost, status, and the models invoked, so we can show your dashboard and bill correctly.
  • Generated content metadata — URLs and basic metadata of outputs (so you can find them again in your task history). We don't inspect or reuse the content itself.
  • Payment data — handled by our payment processor; we never store full card numbers.

2. How We Use Data

We use the data we collect strictly to:

  • Route your API calls to the correct upstream provider
  • Show your usage, balance, and task history
  • Bill you accurately and run auto-recharge when authorized
  • Detect and prevent abuse (fraud, prohibited content, credential leaks)
  • Communicate service-related notices and respond to your support requests

We do not use your API inputs or generated outputs to train models, share with third parties for advertising, or analyze them for purposes outside the ones above.

3. Third-Party Services

SyncNode uses trusted third-party services for authentication, database storage, payment processing, and CDN delivery. These services process limited data per their own privacy policies. We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

When you make a generation request, your input is forwarded to the upstream AI provider you chose (e.g. Replicate, OpenAI, FAL, Alibaba). Their handling of that input is governed by their own privacy policies — review the policy of any provider you connect.

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained as long as your account exists. Task records and metadata are retained indefinitely so you can audit usage history, but you can soft-delete individual tasks from your dashboard.

If you close your account, we delete or anonymize identifying data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention reasons.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in and remember your dashboard preferences. We use lightweight analytics to understand which pages get traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser settings — some features may not work without them.

6. Security

All traffic to SyncNode is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Provider credentials are stored encrypted at rest. We apply standard access controls and audit logs to our infrastructure. No system is perfect, so if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

7. Your Rights

You can access, export, or delete your account data at any time from the dashboard. If you're a resident of the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under applicable privacy laws — including the right to request a copy of your data and the right to object to processing. Email us to exercise any of these rights.
